The 16 children in our Encourage Ethiopia (EE) program have been with us since F2F’s founding in 2018. The children were originally referred to EE’s care center by MOWA. EE’s mission was to provide free daycare for the children of single mothers in a safe and loving environment. EE gave the moms the opportunity to stay in Ethiopia with their children instead of leaving them with a relative to find work abroad. 

Only babies and toddlers, when they were enrolled at EE, this small group of children have grown up together and remain best friends.  By continuing the work EE started, F2F has provided consistent and reliable help and kept every child in school. With the generous donor support of our annual tuition fundraiser, all of the children have to opportunity to attend private school where they are thriving. Our favorite part of this program is the sense of community among the children and their moms.  Spending time together on report day every quarter provides them with a sense of stability and camaraderie that makes this program special. Our dedicated coordinators in Addis, Amele and Ehete, have been with us since day one building a close bond with each child and a trusting relationship with each mother.  That comes through in the details that the children share in their reports and they pride they have sharing their accomplishments with us.
