CCELA Partnership

We began our partnership with  Care for Children and Elders Life Association (CCELA) in January of 2017 when the children’s home founder and director, Eyerusalem “Jeri” Tesfay, asked us to fundraise to help with the cost of caring for five babies going through an extended adoption process. When those babies moved on to their forever homes, Jeri asked us to shift our support to the home’s community sponsorship program. The mission of the CCELA program was the same as F2F’s, to provide supplemental income to local families so the sponsored children could remain in school. There were 35 children, ranging in age from 6 to 18 in the program, and all of them needed sponsors. Since then, we have steadily added sponsors to our CCELA partnership coordinated by Ephrem Tefera, the current CCELA director in Ethiopia. The CCELA program families receive monthly support and additional donations for school supplies and at Christmastime. We are very proud of the program’s success and with five students currently in college with our support.
